The tour begins at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies, with a guided visit to the church, the gardens and the monumental staircase. The experience then continues at the table, over lunch with views over the Douro, where the region’s most authentic flavours take centre stage. After lunch, we follow one of the most emblematic stretches of the N222 and end at a boutique winery for an estate visit and wine tasting.

We begin with a guided visit to Bom Jesus do Monte and then continue to Braga Cathedral and the city’s historic centre. In Ponte de Lima, the experience continues at the table, with a lunch that reflects the essence of Minho cuisine. We end with a guided visit through the historic centre, including the Main Church and the medieval bridge.

• Guided tour to Amarante’s historic center, with visit to the São Gonçalo Church and bridge

We start this tour by following the pilgrim’s footsteps to the top of mount Farinha, where you will visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace. After passing through Mondim de Basto, we stop at Ponte de Matamá to take in the Tâmega River and its scenery. In Celorico de Basto, try the traditional roast kid at a cosy, family-run restaurant. We then continue to Arnoia Castle — a medieval bastion that helped defend the Christian faith during the Muslim Invasions — where you can enjoy panoramic views over the region’s fertile fields, vineyards and olive groves.

We finish our tour in Amarante, where we will cross the iconic São Gonçalo Bridge and visit the church-monastery that blends Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance and Baroque styles, and houses the tomb of the city’s patron saint.
